Veto is a US coast guard licensed captain, marine mammal naturalist and researcher. He has been taking people out to whale watch and swim with Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins in Kona for the last 16 years. On our trips, you will embark on The Lilikoi, a 28 foot RIAV that will enable you to encounter wild dolphins up close and personal! The Lilikoi is one of the safest and funnest boats in Kona! There is shade, music, snacks and drinks to make your trip enjoyable. Captain Veto and his crew will ensure your outing with the dolphins is fun, safe, and educational!
Veto came to the islands from the Northwest. His passion has always been with the ocean and marine life in a wild and free environment. He began studying as a Marine Mammal Naturalist with the Pacific Whale Foundation and was one of the first boats in Kona to take people swimming with dolphins. His goal is to inspire passionate and playful living and he has found a way to help others by making dreams come true through wild dolphin swims in Kona. On your boat trip you will be taught about the behavior of wild spinner dolphins as well as the guidelines and etiquette on how to swim with them in their natural habitat. You may also have the opportunity to see other sea life and learn about the Hawaiian coastline. Captain Veto has many regular customers who come back year after year to enjoy his dolphin and whale excursions! Hope to see you on the water soon. Aloha !
